Terms of use

These terms apply when you browse, create an account or listing, or otherwise use kontraktor.my. By using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a legally binding agreement to create an account or business listing.

kontraktor.my is a directory that helps people discover Malaysian contractors and contact them directly. We are not a contractor, agent, employer, payment provider or party to any agreement between a customer and contractor.

A listing, review status or verification badge describes only the information or check stated. It is not an endorsement, warranty or guarantee of identity, licensing, availability, pricing, safety or work quality.

You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping access to your email and sign-in methods secure. Information you submit must be accurate, current, lawful and genuinely connected to the business you represent.

• Keep contact details, service areas, registration information and availability up to date.
• Only upload content you own or have permission to use.
• Do not impersonate another person or business, create duplicate or misleading listings, or misuse verification indicators.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account or listing has been accessed without permission.

Customers and contractors communicate and make arrangements directly. Each party is responsible for checking identity, qualifications, insurance, licences, scope, price, timelines, permits, safety requirements and written terms before work begins.

Payments, deposits, disputes, cancellations, defects and warranties are solely between the customer and contractor. Use reasonable care, keep written records and never send money solely because a listing appears on kontraktor.my.

You must use the service lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• Post false, deceptive, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, illegal or unsafe content.
• Scrape, harvest or use listing or contact data for spam, bulk marketing, resale or surveillance.
• Probe security, introduce malware, evade access controls or interfere with the service.
• Use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service.
• Use the service to facilitate fraud, unlawful work or infringement of another person's rights.

We may review, edit, limit, reject, suspend or remove accounts, listings or content when we reasonably believe these terms, the law or community safety require it. We may investigate reports and preserve relevant records.

We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the service. We do not promise that the service or any listing will always be available, error-free or complete.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, publish and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, promote and improve the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backups, legal records and content already shared outside the service.

The kontraktor.my name, branding, design and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not responsible for the conduct, statements, services or omissions of users, contractors or external services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, kontraktor.my will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, property damage or personal injury arising from a direct arrangement or your reliance on a listing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will publish the revised version here and change the date above. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@kontraktor.my.
